The wine sector is a cornerstone of rural heritage and economy. Yet, winery owners today face unprecedented challenges, from climate change to shifting market dynamics. WINE4R is an international research initiative designed to bridge the gap between intent and action.
By applying the Theory of Planned Behavior, our consortium of universities is analyzing the psychological and structural drivers that enable wineries to diversify into sustainable agritourism. Our goal is simple: to provide the evidence, tools, and strategies necessary for wineries to thrive while preserving the cultural and natural landscapes of the Visegrad region and Ukraine.
The project is co-financed by the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
